Have you been up Steens Moutain yet in Eastern Oregon? It's another shitballs moment.

Shit, man. I was just at Crater Lake today.
  • Matt Haughey PRO 6y

Whoa! I can't believe that Cameron. We were there from about 10am-noon, from the south side out to the east to the north and then home (we just got home a couple hours ago)

Damn! I was around Rim Village at 10:18a. Took this photo near the Crater Lake Lodge at 10:27am:

We went from the south around the west side, then stopped around the north side somewhere and went back.

I drove up there once, dutifully headed straight to the visitors center for background briefing, then came out into a wall of fog.

Holy cow Cam, I took this photo at 10:05am on that same day, down by the rim near the cafe and restrooms (down the road about 500ft from the lodge).

I had a similar Holy Shitballs experience at Lake Baikal. Some of my fondest memories are waking up at the rustic lodge (owned and managed by the Russian Olympic Luge Team manager), rolling out of bed and walking along the shore of Lake Baikal in September.
