The day that street art died
On April 1st, the famous landmark "Bierpinsel" in Berlin-Steglitz was re-opened. To mark the occasion, its facade is being painted by four street artists over 6 weeks.
Unknown to most spectators, this art event is the brain child of a real estate marketing firm called "Premise Group". Its sole purpose is the PR value and the consequent increase in rental value of the building. Street art wasn't assasinated; it was assimilated.
Rest in peace.
