Homage to Mondrian.
This image reminded me of Mondrian’s famous painting called “Broadway Boogie Woogie.” In this case maybe I should title this “Coal Town Boogie Woogie” or “Coal Cracker Polka.”
I’ve been thinking about this group of new work I’m posting here for the first time. I’m conflicted as to telling you from what the work was taken. I think I’ve decided to post the work and reference it with the next post. This is the third in this series. Two days ago the material I photographed was very thin corkscrew metal shavings. There were a number of different mental in a barrel in a local metal reclamation plant. Yesterday’s image was a rusted and weathered paint from a side panel of an old tractor-trailer. Again your comments are very welcome.
