7h. mixed media painting on masonite board. i had been collecting temporary "no parking" signs (in paper) after the winter in Montreal in 2001... and incorporating them into my paintings... giving them new life... eternally. Here I used a small part of one on my many american flags... (I have a great collection). There's a kind of yin/yang going on here and very contrasty and dynamic...i guess the way i felt about this juxtaposition.

*Exhibited at Sandra Goldie Gallery, Montreal, Canada, group show. Nov15-26.05.

*Exhibited at Salon d’automne International des Beaux-arts de Montreal, World Beat Center, 3rd edition 2002, group show.

beautifull composition of colours. The red stripes are strong but still fit in the whole. What can you mention about the size of this piece?

thanks for posting this after my image at Free Association. love the visual harmony...

love this on its own of course, too. those three red bars amidst the loose splatters provide contrast and an anchor point.

I really like your way of recycling and using objects and images to cause a kind of forced reflection and as you put it; use the existing energies inertia to give something new life. Brilliant!

excellent work. that small yellow piece on the right pulls it altogether with the yellow tie-in. the red stripes work perfectly.
