    You really managed to make it look like its holding the sky's vault! You aimed the column at will and in a way that the eye feels comfortable about, at a cloud clearing marking such a clear stairway to paradise in the same symbolism Christmas trees are. Because of the nature of this staircase, it looks more like the connection is between the present and the past. I love it how you included those columns at the lower part, they situate the scene so amazingly well, and the difference of lights between the front and background give this latter such a beautiful sense of nostalgy behind the majesty of the enlighted column. Great job as usual :)

    thank you so much for that beautiful description, i enjoyed it very much, specially it being a stairway between the present and the past. and i didnt know the christmas tree was a stairway to paradise, thats really nice. i spend quite a while down there taking this shot, i enjoyed the view very much, even though i was in a bad position myself hehe

    Yes adorning trees is an ancient Pagan celebration that Christianism fused with Christmas, although the true meaning was that people adorned trees at every winter solstice or equinox because according to them, at these times of the year, the gate between this world and the next one was opened, and for them trees symbolized the paths between one world and the other. And now that you mention yes hehe, that must have been quite tough to get! :)
