High Plains Drifter
Southern Trufas, Mono Lake, CA
First real weekend in a while, could not resist the urge to take off and go as far as possible just to press the shutter a few times. Got an absolute, all time record for a trip of 8 shots, this one is the better of them all.
D300 + Sigma 10-20mm @10mm
3 seconds exposure at f/22. - it was really bright, so I had to sacrifice some sharpness by using a small aperture to get a longer exposure. This sigma works best around f/7 - f/11 for really sharp results.
Hoya NDX400 for the long exposure and flatten the water
Lee 0.6 Soft ND at the bottom, upside down to bring up the green / brown on the water.
Lee 0.6 Hard ND on top for a moody sky.
