An alternate composition taken at Black Nore Point at Portishead. I must have taken a gazzilion compositions of this log, but this one stands out from the rest; that said, they do have a tendancy to all look the same when viewing in Adobe Bridge.

Whatever you are up to, have a great weekend!

Great composition. I didn't even (consciously) notice the log to begin with but the shot wouldn't be the same without it. Love the warm sunlit rocks to.

Seriously superb! Wonderful, warm evening light and fabulous use of the log for foreground interest, leading the eye to the cliff face and lighthouse beyond. :-)

I like the approach for this composition - the two sweeping diagonals that lead into the lighthouse. Easy to see why you that appealed to you. The warm tones are great. I'm imagining a fine afternoon spent at the shore.

I love the light in this shot so much. Fantastic composition too, with the log in the foreground that forces the viewers eyes along it, to the rocks which seem to be pointing to the lighthouse.
