A rainy day in june. Bart and i drove all the way up to Luxembourg to spend the night at someone Bart found through the couch surfing network. We had an amazing evening, with great company. But we didn't come all the way out here for nothing. Early in the morning we met up with our Luxembourg friends to explore the The majestic old farm of the Heinen family.
At arrival Bart and i thought, is that it? A big ugly looking old farm. We sneaked inside and found a wonderful time capsule of the farming tradition of Luxembourg.

Thank you again Shantideva, Gatddei & CR2 fr a absolute great day!!

Any further details on why this beautiful place was abandoned? Does the family still own the farm but live elsewhere, or is this the victim of finances or extinct family?

Thru years of urbexing, I never cease to be amazed at the beauty that ends up abandoned.

nope, not much information, but this place was abandoned long time ago, it's a miracle it's still in such a good shape, at least the part i photographed.

Imagine how many stories those old stairs could tell, if only we could listen.
