Oxalis leaves with purple spots

Oxalis as weeds (not wanted by the gardener) in a flower garden. I was struck by the purple spots. Don't know if all such leaves have them, if they are a symptom of a nutritional deficiency, or what.

Every leaf is important in God's economy.

On November 2nd, 2006, Flickr said that this is our most interesting photo. That's no longer true, but it's still up there among the most interesting ones. Thanks, viewers!

Here is a photo of some Oxalis flower buds, nearly opened. In the description of those buds, there is a link to a photo of some opened flowers.

Isn't God a great artist?
