Argiope spider, with tiny fly

I believe that this is an Argiope writing spider, the kind that E. B. White had in mind when he wrote Charlotte's Web. This was in my wife's flower garden, and still is. I had no idea that the spider was being used as a perch by a fly, when I took the photo. A very tiny fly, and probably not one in danger from the spider. Contrast was enhanced a bit with The Gimp.

Larger sizes are available. Thanks for looking.
