sumac fruit close up, natural color

Beautiful little red fruits (drupes) on a sumac (Rhus) bush. The individual fruit is perhaps 1 cm/0.25 in across. The fruiting head is much larger, roughly the size of a person's hand. The plant grows to about 2 meters/yards tall.

The Wikipedia tells me that these fruits are ground up and used as spices. It also tells me that this plant is probably Rhus typhina, staghorn sumac.

Thanks for looking. Isn't God a great artist?
