Four years on Flickr -- Flickrversary
This photostream (I do the computing, and most of the photography. My wife does some of the best photography, and gives advice.) has been in existence since December 10, 2004.
As many of you know, the mythical Flickr Magic Donkey picks out 500 of the "best" (whatever that means) shots of each day of the year. I am pleased that, as of a few hours yesterday, 60 of those shots were ours, including one uploaded on Dec. 10, 2004 (There wasn't too much competition then! Now, there are around 2 to 4 thousand photos a minute uploaded to Flickr!)
Thanks to so many of you for viewing our photos. To see the photos shown above, and a few more, go to this set. There's at least one photo that we wish was in Explore, of our second grandson. (There are two of the first one, currently.)
As of this morning, I had made over 41,200 comments, we had 1,115 photos, and my photostream had had 127,750 views, and my photos had been viewed 803,118 times.
Thanks to all of you, and to Flickr.
I had a pain shot yesterday, and thank God that I haven't had to take a pain pill for 24 hours.
We are preparing for a trip to see our grandsons (and their parents and their Aunt) and I'm going on hiatus. I won't be posting any photos, and won't be commenting on yours, except in unusual circumstances.
God bless you all.
