Stapelia gariepensis flower macro

A macro photograph of the Corona of a Stapelia gariepensis flower from the Richtersveld (South Africa's Mountain Desert).

 

Note: From this hairy patch in the middle of the flower it look a bit like Stapelia hirsuta, but the petals (not seen in this photo) are bare and waxy (which is more typical for S. gariepensis).
