Photographing the Lunar Eclipse

I don't often post gear photos, but as I've had several questions, it seems to be of some interest.

This is the photographic gear that I used to photograph the 2018 Lunar Eclipse from my backyard. I decided to shoot with a Full Frame Sensor (FX) Nikon DSLR and Telephoto Lens, rather than my Telescope for various practical reasons.

Nikon Astrophotography Gear:

Nikon D750 DSLR (demo camera courtesy of Nikon South Africa).

AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Lens with Nikon AF-S. Teleconverter TC-20E II 2X (1000mm).

Motorised Telescope Mount:

Celestron Advanced VX Telescope Mount (to track the Moon and allow more flexibility with long exposures).
