Vic - Catedral de Sant Pere

The Diocese of Vic was established in the 5th century and existed upto 713, when the islamic troops arrived here. In 866, when the reconquista had succeeded in the north, the diocese got reestablished.

There is not much left of the romanesque cathedral that once had been here. Most of the structure is centuries younger like this flamboyant Gothic cloister. Trees and shrubs grow in the center, around the grandiose tomb.
