* 07.01.1849 in Cransberg
∞ 03.06.1870 Joseph Odenweller
† 02.03.1911 in Usingen
My grandfather noted about her (his grandmother) that she was the most beautiful and strongest of her siblings. When she was 17 (in 1866) she worked in Friedrichsdorf in the household of Philipp Reis, the inventor of the telephone. She often had to assist him pulling the wires from the house to the barn and listening to the sound transmissions. It is possible that she was one of the first persons Reis talked to on the phone.
