My first visit to the gardens at Bear Creek Park in Surrey B.C. The gardens are wonderful, beautifully laid out with many wonderful plants and areas such as a fern garden. I'd like to return and record more of it's beauty.
One of the most striking installations at the Bear Creek Garden is the Lingua Aqua fountain.
A treat to the senses on many levels. I find it visually striking from a distance. As you get closer you can look up into it's mirrored ceiling for a different perspective of it and it's surroundings. The perimeter had nozzles dripping water "rain curtain" to the pool underneath creating a gentle sound rather than the loud gushes that other fountains can make. Very peaceful and tranquil in the park setting. The support poles are engraved in braille with quotations, including quotations of Emerson and Hesse about language.
