Blending a sunset
This was captured back in March one day as I was driving back from work. It actually comprises of two different shots of the same scene, taken with the same aperture but different speeds, one for correctly exposing the sky and the other for correctly exposing the church and trees in the foreground. They were later aligned (as they were captured handheld, I had no tripod with me that day) and blended in Photoshop to create this image with an increased dynamic range.

The technique for blending the two exposures is pretty simple and is described in this tutorial: www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/digital-blending.shtml
