Ari & Lyndsey
One of my dear friends recently had his first child. A beautiful baby girl they named Ari. She's perfect, and all the great things your child should be.
Last Sunday I flew back to California, stepped off a plane, had him pick me up and immediately went to take pictures of his little girl. This was a priority for me, so I scheduled it before any kind of work was given to me.
The bond you get to see between a child and it's mother is special. I don't think I saw the connection before having my own daughter. I acknowledged it, but I didn't really see it.
Another benefit was that my other good friend, Dan aka Gritphilm, has been buying gear like crazy. So instead of shooting outdoors we got to go inside and use his light modifiers with my flashes.
Two Nikon SB800s were used, one through a strip vertical softbox and the other through a large shoot through umbrella. All shots were taken with my Nikon D7000, the 50mm f1.8 and my 85mm f1.8
Congratulations to the Bernardi's and their beautiful addition to the world!
