Beckford's Tower, Bath.

Completed in 1827 for William Beckford, son of a rich politician whose wealth came from the labour of 3,000 African slaves on 22,000 acres of sugar plantations in Jamaica.

The smooth underneath of the steps is rare for a cantilevered staircase. There are only a handful like this in the world.
