Dubrovnik's Old Town was founded in 600, and the walls around it were built between the 12th and 17th centuries. An earthquake demolished much of it in 1776. The subsequent rebuilding means that many buildings are now well over 200 years old.

This is my new favourite photo - I don't know how I didn't see the three-dimensionalness of it before. Brilliant.
