Not a captive, this wild one was very grouse-like when it hopped up onto the hand rail on the trail and thought it could hide by sitting still.
Diana is now the "Artist in residence" at the Salmonier Nature Park. Today was her first day creating animal inspired lino cuts for the park. We went for a walk after and got a few pics of animals that were available for viewing. We have the whole park to ourselves when we are there and are able to get some nice photo ops. All of the animals are "Rehab" animals that can't be released back into the wild. The park is used as a animal rescue center year round, educational resource, and tourist attraction in the summer.
