South Australia - 801 @ Osborne

The very last revenue run of an 800 class in South Australia was made by 801 on Saturday 7 December 1991. Built by English Electric at Rocklea (Brisbane) in 1956, it is seen shunting 'Big John' coke hoppers out of the Penrice Soda Products works at Osborne. 801 is preserved at the National Railway Museum in Port Adelaide, just a few kilometres from where this photo was taken.
