Chester Cathedral - The Nave Ceiling

Thought I would try and make the most of the rest of these light evenings and so popped out to Chester Cathedral after work.

The shot here was actually an 12 exposure HDR image with the camera set to RAW, f5.6, ISO 100 and the bracketed shots went from 1/250 sec to 8 seconds. For this shot I did actually shoot at 17x frames but didn't include as many of the underexposed images as I discovered I was starting to get alot of noise around the dark areas of the image and upon checking the histogram for these images it turns out that there was no real data in the dark part for these exposures. I've almost concluded now that its best to shoot in the maximum frames available and then check the histogram for each frame afterwards to see if theres image detail in that frame and if there is then i include it when processing. The resultant images where imported into Lightroom and then exported to Photomatix to generate the HDR.
