662/1000 - The Beatles Story
As some of you may know I listen to a number of podcasts. One of the Video Photography podcasts I listen to is called "The Art of Photography" by Ted Forbes:
During the Summer of 2011 this podcast is doing a Holga project which is consists of Ted sending out 10 holga cameras around the world. These 10 cameras will circle all summer and everyone will get a chance to shoot 4 shots on a theme and send the camera to the next person on the list. At the end of the summer Ted will be compiling a website and a book. For more details about the project, visit Teds site:
I was lucky enough to be one of the people who got involved in the project and last week the Holga arrived on my doorstep. The theme of the four pictures I had to take was based on a lyric from a Beatles song called "Something", specifically "Something in the way she moves". With living in Chester and being so close to Liverpool and also being the only person who was part of the whole global Holga project I couldn't pass the opportunity to pop up to Liverpool to seek inspiration for the four images I had to take with the Camera.
The above shot was taken on this day trip to Liverpool and, yes I did manage to take four shots that fitted the theme of "Something in the way she moves" but i'll have to wait until the Holga makes it way back to Ted in Dallas and for him to develop the film to find out how they came out.
Taken as part of my 2011 photo project "a thousand different ways" - more information here:
Update 17th August 2011:
The Holga has arrived back with Ted:
Looking forward to seeing the results!
