A Ruby-throated Hummingbird
The humming birds enjoy our new feeders and we see the birds throughout our day.
This image was taken in Central Massachusetts.
We have a ‘run’ for our domestic house cat Rocky.
Having a run keeps him from wandering out of the yard and into a street.
The run has a cord that measures 3mm (or 0.118”) in diameter.
The hummingbirds like to perch on that cord and I have even photographed them polishing their beaks on the cord.
In this image, the hummingbird is both nictitating its eyes and, scratching itself with its foot.
