The Roadside
One I took last year, put on my Facebook page but not here. For some reason I tried to concentrate on big, impressive pictures on here. In reality I love taking wee shots like this. I'd been down at a field near Temple Sowerby with some gorgeous trees to hopefully catch a misty dawn. Everything worked out and I got one of my favourites for the year. On the way back to the car I saw these wee flowers by the roadside with the early sun just coming over the top of the Pennines. This was taken shooting straight into the sun with the 24mm f1.4G @ f2. I've split ones it a little but also left the fringing on the edges as I thought it added a wee bit of atmosphere. Lightroom 5 gets rid of it with ease but do you always have to have perfection?
