Hypophthalmichthys nobilis (Bighead carp)

As efficient filter-feeders, bighead and silver carp were imported to clean sewage ponds. That same efficiency makes them a threat as invaders. Asian carp is the collective name for a group that includes bighead, silver, grass and black carp. All are invasive in the United States.
