My friend's house would have just peeped into the frame on the right, this is a view from across the street, looking across the now empty space where his neighbors' homes stood. The fires passed through here between 1 am and 2 am, the following morning would have been trash collection day, but all the trashcans (plastic) put out on the street the night before have completely disappeared as have almost all their contents. The only remnant, surprisingly, of each, were some eggshells and banana peels.
No need to fave. This is just to share a few first-hand POVs of the Northbay fires from earlier this month.
A bunch of us helped out one of our friends who had lost his home in the Northbay fires earlier this month. We were sifting through the remains of his home to find anything recognizable that might be photographed and itemized for insurance purposes. We came up with very little. He considers himself blessed to be alive, and thankful for his friends. Incredible positivity.
