Piccadilly Circus in the Rain

Almost an abstract shot this image. It was a rainy day in London and the reflections at Piccadilly Circus off the wet pavement were amazing. I stood on the steps by the Eros statue waiting, hoping to capture somebody on their own walk by with an umbrella. This took thirty shots to achieve what I wanted as it was very busy with groups of people filing past. I wanted a blurred yet distinctive shape that depicted somebody hurrying along in the rain.

I did not do any other post processing manipulation to this shot apart from a little tweaking using levels to increase separation. The RAW image really is this colourful. Handheld at 1/13th second to get the effect of movement. I was pleased to see the shot is quite sharp when looking at the railings in the background.
