hexing along

    Newer Older

I'm not officially playing because I'm not sure what my schedule will be like in the next couple of weeks, but if you want to hexalong, go to jaybird quilts. She's got a great tutorial on how to get started. I can't wait for the rest of it all!

Dude, I thought I had enough for a 36" x 36" baby quilt. Ummm, no. I got maybe 18" x 24" tops. Let me see how much fabric I have left in order to sew up a few more strips.

And to think I was so itching to get started on piecing. Hah!

      Thanks, all!

Thanks! No jelly roll - I just cut these 1/2 yards here. Or more specifically, I cut one 2 1/2 inch strip from each half yard while I was cutting them up for something else which I will have photos of tomorrow.

      Really beautiful.
I am curious. What would it look like if you rotated the triangles so that the long strips make a pinwheel in the center with the little triangles around the outside of the hex? Probably not as peaceful as this but I am still curious.
