Grand Ledge Railroad Trestle

This railroad trestle, constructed in 1888, spans the Grand River in Grand Ledge, Michigan. The steel structure, while fairly rusty, is actually in very good condition for a bridge of its age. The abutments at each end of the bridge are built right into the sandstone cliffs that line the river’s banks in the Grand Ledge area. This is one of the larger bridges in the Mid-Michigan Area, and is quite the site to see. We were lucky enough to catch a train while we were at the park, which made for some nice photos.
