Musician and friend in Byurakan

We met a father son musician/wood carver team and discovered how he handmakes traditional instruments (including the “duduk”). The duduk is a double reed instrument with ancient origins, said to be from 1500 to 3000 years old. Armenian duduks are mainly made from aged apricot wood. In 2005, UNESCO proclaimed the Armenian duduk music as a "Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
