Thank you I was struggling, didnt find the right wood.......came home too late, still had to have dinner at 10 pm something like that, and then found out that my garlic press is ...........way uglyyyyyyy and on top of that is missing the holed part........damn!!!!! anyway stay tuned for cooked food shots the coming days........and hopefully if i can find an assistent to press the shutter button, the copied shot from you which is by the way hanging printed out on my cork board above my desk at work! will be executed as well.......though i am still pondering should i wear goggles or not? Love your stream by the way you are so way creative and able to execute what you want!

This is my favourite from the bunch too. I like how the wood grain/groove leads my eye up through the photo, and the subtle different shades. great work Marco.

erh i am not happy at all......, first i cam home dog tired and way too late to do something interesting, it was such a busy night last night!

Then I clearly did nothing else but slap a few garlic bulbs on a wooden board and shoot away.......not the right way to do things.

I mean thats all this is slap and shoot......no creativity, nothing at all.

I could have done something with smoke again for the smoked garlic........i have wooden elephants at home i could have used that creatively with the elephant garlic etc etc ....

anyway I think I am really tired, xmas and all......lucky I get few days rest over CNY and feb 7 I fly to Thailand, its needed!

Thanks for the kind words Marco. I enjoy seeing what your creating in the kitchen! I really think this shot is great, as ekmai said, "some of the best shots are the simplest ones", I couldn't agree more. Hey, if you want a higher rez version of my garlic shot let me know and I can send it. The health and safety board would probably recommend goggles. It could add a cool look. You could also take two pics, one with, one without and easily swap out the eyes in photoshop :)
