Baptist Temple (1926)

Now a cultural center, the former Baptist Temple (founded in 1846 as Second Baptist Church), South Main Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. It features a center entrance back to the main hall, with commercial space along the street (including Trio, an excellent restaurant on the right side).


It was designed by pioneering local female architect Maude Darling Parlin, who was the daughter of architect Joseph M. Darling. Parlin also designed many other buildings in Fall River. See her brief bio here:
