      Hi Grezmel,

The 'House In The Clouds' is in Thorpeness on the Suffolk coast between Aldeburgh (great unspoilt seaside town) and Sizewell (Nuclear power station). The house is private property (available to rent) but easy to get photos from the perimeter. Check out the map link on the right of this page.

To get to it, take the A1094 to Aldeburgh from the A12 (about half way between Ipswich and Lowestoft). Take left on B1069 to Lesiton and then right on B1353 to Thorpeness. Park near the meare in the village and walk to house - can't miss it (you can see it for miles). Next door is a windmill.

On a nice day you can spend many hours here around the meare with plenty of photo opportunities. In fact the whole place was constructed as a sort of victorian leisure village. I recommend taking a boat on the lake and there is also a pony and trap ride around the place in peak season.

Be sure to visit Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings on the way home!

Nice picture - recognised it immediately!

As a Suffolk resident I might take issue with Aldeburgh being "unspoilt" with so many of the properties being second-homes for Londoners with a consequent shortage of affordable housing for young people brought up in the area, but I know what you mean :-)
