David M. randonneur
Finishing up this tall randonneur frame today. I finish as I go to about 90% and leave the last 10% for just before the bike goes to paint. The needle files come out and the contours get their final shape and consideration. Threads are chased and bores are honed. It’s a way of making sure all the boxes are checked. The stainless dropout faces get polished so they start their life off fresh and clean. Fender lines are considered for the last time. Final finish day is hard on the body but I always look forward to it. It’s about putting all the questions marks to rest.
