The wind on the day of my friend's wedding was fierce, as wind often is at the beach. So fierce that it sent sheets of white sand coursing like waves across the shoreline. You can make out a few of those in this image, streaming from the back to foreground, but all in all it was not a very easy phenomenon to capture, and I've never really found a good way (other than video) of visually sharing such a thing.

Taken with a Hasselblad 500 C/M.

This is great, love the dof and the storm clouds in the distance. Beautifully done!

Looks like a tilt-shift-y version of a Nevada mountain range. Well played.

It seems you discovered a world in a world. A ship battling the fierce winds on the sea of sand has many crew overboard. A refreshing and unique perspective.

    Beach bokeh! Nice!

This is really a striking image - I think partly because the bottom half is almost devoid of color. It's sort of like you seamlessly merged a color frame with a monochrome one.

    jaw dropping.....

Very striking... I think that you captured the mood of the windswept beach pretty accurately here Danielle! Very nicely done!!

I know the effect you're talking about. It is difficult and not not least because afterwards your camera might end up making funky noises..
I like this though, makes me think of a little dried up river bed.
