Otto Guards the Entrance to a Lake Lenore Cave

Best viewed as an interactive sphere. (Flash)

Otto strikes a noble pose in front of the cave. There is evidence that these caves were used intermittently by people as temporary shelter for thousands of years -- but not that many thousands of years since the caves were formed only 11,000 or so years ago in the giant Lake Missoula Floods. I can imagine wanting to come in here to get out of the rain or wind or perhaps avoid a wildcat or something... but then I can also imagine how most of those rocks got scattered around the floor of the cave too. A quick glance at the ceiling showed a fair number of fist- and head-sized chunks looking pretty loose... If Otto doesn't see any wildcats I think I'll go back out now.
