    Just working on my This Was Manitoba for November and November 20, 1913 will mark the 100th anniversary of McPhillips' death. I think some sort of map celebration is in order ?!

    Interesting I found a little bit about him here:

    and have one of his maps here:

    His brother Francis McPhillips also died in 1913.

    Would be a good time to do a online exhibit via Neatline or perhaps a public lecture with map displays about the McPhillips Brothers. I am in Edmonton now but still in contact with the UofM Archives I will see if there is interest for next October/November?
