April Smith, Circulation Services, Manchester District Library

Except for possums, which may attack her dog Greta, April geeks critters. Over the years, April has housed cows, pigs, cats, dogs, and even a pet raccoon. She currently has a dog and two cats. Greta has a cat too, bringing the critter count in the house to four.

April’s history with the library is lengthy: she obtained (and still has) her first library card in early elementary school. Unlike the barcoded plastic cards today, it was made out of pasteboard. In addition to being a longtime patron, April has been an employee for 12 years, worked as a volunteer prior to that, and her father served on the Manchester Township Library Board. April enjoys mysteries and fiction. Kathy Reichs, James Patterson, and Janet Evanovich are among her favorite authors.
