Christmas Colours Revisited
worth a View Large On Black if you get a chance
Bee's on a Pōhutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) flower, liked the red/green Christmas colours here and these bees decided to act as some models. This tree is often called the New Zealand Christmas Tree as it flowers from November on and when in full bloom is quite spectacular
Well Im fairly determined to keep some variety this year so decided to knab this on a walk up and down Rangitoto Island in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf with the kiddies and friends. It was supposed to be a wet day on this walk so I took the 30D (now highly faithful backup and handy as a close up with the Tamron 17-50mm ) but turned out hot as, a cold beer went well after this little trek!
Shot: 1/2000th sec f2.8 iso 400, 50mm, overexposed this by 2/3 stop
