Assassin bug uid 1859

    Newer Older

This Assassin Bug is about the same size as the common Pristhesancus plagipennis but is far more brightly coloured. It was quite common at Porcupine Gorge in Western Qld but I haven't seen it around Townsville.

Wow, that's fantastic. I've never seen one like that.

New to me, too. Not too surprising - Porcupine Gorge is pretty remote even to Townsvilleans, and the environment is quite different. See malcolmtattersall.com.au/wp/2012/04/normal-service-will-r... and follow-ups to come.

I really love bugs that have bright colors on them.
