We Hate Because We Care
A bunch of a-holes hold signs at the 2008 Days of '47 Parade in Salt Lake City, Utah.
These guys like to show up at popular events in order to... uh... I don't know what they expect. If they're so pro-Jesus, you'd think they'd learn a little more about what Jesus taught. Mockery and deception can be very effective, but it doesn't really seem consistent with the whole 'love thy neighbor' mantra.
What puzzles me is that these signs are aimed at the LDS Church members in attendance. The same Mormons who have been asked to support a California constitutional amendment supporting traditional marriage. "Homo sex" is an excommunicative offense. And the other sign, "Jesus saves; Joseph en slaves (sic)" is odd, too. Mormons believe ardently that only Jesus can save. Joseph Smith is revered as a prophet and dearly loved, but mortal nevertheless. If you're going to openly insult 13 million people full time, shouldn't you at least take a weekend to do some homework?
Nice day for a parade, though.
