I like the deco nod & the interesting condensation of the traditional "tower" & vertical sign.

If you get a chance, could you get a photo with it lighted at night from the same angle? If you're lucky & they've got the lights on during magic hour, you can get that cool blue magic hour night sky behind it.

Might be a couple of weeks, but I'll see what I can do.

I'd love to work on this photo, JackCoursey, but a larger size would be helpful! Very neat theater, by the way. I have one of these near my house, they are so nostaglic!

Smpre senza: Thank you very much! I’ll be glad to post you the full version of the Bellevue if you wish. I’ve had to compromise a bit on the size of the photos of late to avoid exceeding the bloody monthly quota. Next time that I am in the area, I hope to get a twilight and evening shot of the Bellevue when it is fully illuminated.

Bloggerati Star: Great job! A first glance I mistook your rendition to be an archive photo of the late Decatur Theatre in metro Atlanta. I have a couple of photos of building which were once theatres but have been converted into some other use and have lost most of their distinctive elements (e.g. the marquee, box office, etc.) If you and or any other in the Fix My Pic group are up to the challenge, it would be great to see an artist perspective as to how these structures would appear in their full regalia. There is a photo of the former Central/Elite Theatre at www.flickr.com/photos/maincourse/58785088/. Give it a look and let me know if you can do some magic on it.

This is a great catch! I love that perpendicularity you show. Nice work!

Could you consider to post that, in the group: Streamline Moderne Architecture. Thank you!
