Roman Villa at Stabiae

The exhibition "In Stabiano" was at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in 2004. The artifacts are from a Roman villa at Stabiae, near Pompeii, that was buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 CE. These murals were from a triclinium, or dining room. (See this site for more information about the archaeological excavations at Stabiae.)
