Keshi Ghat

This is as stunning a piece of architecture as the Opera House.

It is from a very different era and a very different rationale.

I took this photograph about 30 years ago in Vrndavana, India.

Olympus OM10

Olympus 50mm f/1.8 OM F.Zuiko

Fujichrome 35mm film

Note that the slide is very old and scan quality is average only.

I haven't processed it in Photoshop to remove the detritus on the slide.

i will comment! great shot .i came here via a website about zuiko lenses esp the 50mm f1.8 and looking at this shot i can see how good this lens was and still is ! ive used an om 10 and an om2n and still miss both cameras .

really neat to see an old photo brought back to life and shared. wish more people would do that, even contrast their old photos with new pics of the same place... Thanks for sharing.

by the way, i saw through photo through your post about the 50 f/1.8 on a PEN. I just picked up an OMD EM5 and sold my DSLR. Am feeling giddy about entering the future of photography, where ironically we can leverage old lenses such as the 50 mm.

Tilt cam down a bit, some useless sky, some front detail lost. Bit overexposed, 2 stops?? , Shadow doesnt need detail, BLACK is good, then you have a darker sky and not overexposed beach sand/salt flats.

Tommy I understand the technical limitations of the shot, however
I took this image so many years ago with zero knowledge of photography with a beautiful little Olympus 35mm camera and basic 50mm lens.
I really treasure this image as well as the memory of the location.
I didn't go back for 20 years and apparently Vrndavana is totally different now
