The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life
The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life has been in formation for almost fifty years, since the inception of the Judah L. Magnes Museum, founded in 1962.

The Magnes Collection documents the history and the cultures of the Jews in California and the Global Diaspora through art, objects, archival documents, and books, and is recognized by the scholarly community as one of the finest Jewish resources worldwide.

Scholars, students, institutions, local historians, genealogy experts and family historians, access it on a daily basis, on site and through a host of online resources, including an integrated Archive-Library-Museum database.
