Paolo has been preparing for the return all days during the past week. He made several checks within the Soyuz capsule (he will be the Vice-Commander of it; the Commander will be Dima Kondratyev, presently Station Commander, who also will return; together with Cady Coleman). There are Sokol suit dress rehearsals and a simulation of the descent in real time (3 hours). Landing in Kazakhstan is scheduled for May 24, 04.27 CEST.

Paolo as skillful photographer is given the honour to take the historic pictures and videos of the docked Endeavour when after undocking Soyuz will perform a fly-around of the ISS. Dima will keep Soyuz at about 200 m from the ISS and Paolo will take pics then. This unique photo session will begin on May 24, 00.13 CEST,

Fantastic photograph. Right at the bottom is the Ile Notre Dame, site of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, home of the Canadian F1 Grand Prix.
