The Jitney Players & other theatrical groups
Madison was home to the country's earliest summer theater. First held outdoors and later in a barn, the play were popular fundraisers for charitable causes including post WW I relief, the Madison Historical Society and the preservation of the Lee Academy.
These artifacts were part of the display of historic articles, photos and items at the Madison Historical Society's "Summer Exhibition 2013 and 2014
